TL,DR: This place should not be licensed. Willing to permanently maim patients for a high billing procedure. Borderline criminal. WILL MAKE ZERO EFFORT TO SAVE YOUR TOOTH. I would highly recommend going elsewhere even if it means driving far, your body is worth it. I was having tooth pain and went to Westwood Village Smiles as it is near UCLA, where I was initially brushed off and told it was TMJ until I insisted I knew I was having significant tooth pain as I work in healthcare. The dentist referred me to this endodontist, and I did not want to make an appointment because from the start I was not confident in this man's background, education, and abilities. The dentist called me back and hurried urged me to only schedule with Dr. Perea because he has "the best CT scanner on the market and no other machine compares." Essentially insisting I only go to him. Looking back, it makes me suspect some nefarious agreement to railroad patients into his practice. I made the appointment, and saw Dr. Perea. Medicine is a practice with a spectrum of treatment however this endodontist will make zero attempts to save your tooth and will demand for the most aggressive treatment without your say

I came here last minute in need of a root canal. I was in and out with an hour and felt very little pain during the surgery. He takes great pride in his work. Very happy with my experience! 5 star service!!!

I came to Dr. Perea’s office in so much pain before my root canal — I could barely concentrate or sleep. From the moment I walked in, I felt cared for. The office is beautiful, clean, and spacious, and the entire team immediately made me feel at ease. Dr. Perea has incredible bedside manner — calm, compassionate, and very skilled. He took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my tooth, what he was going to do, and why. His explanations were clear and reassuring, which made a huge difference when I was so nervous and in pain. During the procedure, his pain management was outstanding — I was shocked at how comfortable I felt. You can tell he’s truly an expert at what he does. His whole team is amazing and friendly, from the front desk to the assistants. They work together seamlessly and make you feel genuinely cared for. If you’re in pain or just looking for the right specialist — don’t think twice about coming here. This is the place you need to go!! Dr. Perea and his team set the standard for compassionate, professional care.

I have had several root canals with various specialists, and Dr. Perea provided one of the best experiences I've ever had. He is an exceptional Endodontist with unmatched expertise and a commitment to patient comfort. His team is equally supportive, professional and impressive. Highly recommend this office!

I have worked in the dental field for over 30 years and Dr Perea and his staff are all 5 star!!!! No one likes to hear you need a root canal, right, but Dr Perea and his staff are very calming and reassuring. I arrived early to my appointment and was seen immediately! The front desk staff were all very kind, polite and professional! Cecilia, the dental assistant brought me in and took a CT scan of my tooth Two scans were taken and then I was brought into the one of the exam rooms for the consultation. I mentioned that tooth was sensitive to cold, so it was tested with ice, and sure enough, that tooth is alive, and I felt a bit sensitive to it. Good news, for now, do nothing, and leave it alone! Yay! May my tooth live a very long life intact without any further disturbance. Yay! The office is very beautiful with artwork by Dr Perea's wife. The ambience is very relaxing too. I highly recommend Dr Perea for any endodontic treatment. He is quite knowledgeable and will save your tooth, if possible. Metered street parking on Wilshire or the side streets. Or park in the building.
